Jay Dee Bentley

 Jay Dee Bentley (born on June 6, 1964 in Wichita, Kansas) is the bassist and co-founding member of the punk rock group Bad Religion. He has played with the band through its whole existence with a small break between 1983 and 1985.

Bad Religion

Jay played in Bad Religion for three 1/2 years (between 1979 and 1983), and left while the band was in the midst of writing and recording their 2nd album, Into the Unknown. Jay was also a onetime member of such notable L.A. groups as Wasted Youth, T.S.O.L., The Circle Jerks and Cathedral Of Tears. He rejoined Bad Religion in late 1985 while the How Could Hell Be Any Worse? line-up – adding Circle Jerks' Greg Hetson as the band's second guitarist – was reuniting to record the first three reunion albums, Suffer, No Control and Against the Grain, which are often considered their best releases. Today, Bentley continues touring and recording with Bad Religion.

Jay Bentley grew up in Saugus, CA. and later moved to the San Fernando Valley suburb of Woodland Hills, CA. As with guitarist Brett Gurewitz and lead singer Greg Graffin, Jay was also a student of El Camino Real High School.

He has appeared on every Bad Religion release, with the exceptions of Into the Unknown (1983) and the Back to the Known (1985) EP. The band's most recent studio album, True North, was released on January 22, 2013. 

Personal life

He has two sons: Miles (born 1991), Hunter (born 1993). Today, Jay is a resident of Costa Mesa, California.

Geng Salvatrucha (MS13)

Mara Salvatrucha adalah geng kriminal yang berasal dari Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat dan menyebar ke Amerika Tengah dan bagian dari Amerika Serikat dan Kanada. Sejarah aksi kejahatan

Pada tanggal 13 Juli 2003, Brenda Paz, seorang wanita berumur 17 tahun, ditemukan ditikam di Sungai Shenandoah di Virginia. Paz dibunuh karena menginformasikan kegiatan Mara Salvatrucha pada polisi. Kemudian empat temannya divonis atas pembunuhan.

Pada 23 Desember 2004, satu dari pemberitaan MS-13 yang paling terkenal di Amerika Tengah, Chameleon, Honduras, ketika sebuah bus antarkota ditembak dengan tembak otomatis, membunuh 28 penumpang, sebagian besar dari mereka perempuan dan wanita. Pada Februari 2007, pengadilan memutuskan Juan Carlos Miranda Bueso dan Darwin Alexiz Ramizez termasuk beberapa aksi pembunuhan dan percobaan pembunuhan.

Pada 13 Mei 2006, Ernesto "SMOKEY" Miranda, salah seorang prajurit tinggi, yang juga merupakan pendiri Mara Salvatrucha, dibunuh di rumahnya di El Salvador beberapa jam setelah menolak menghadiri pesta untuk anggota geng yang baru keluar penjara. Ia mulai belajar hukum dan berusaha menjauhkan anak-anak dari geng.
Pada 4 Juni 2008, di Toronto, Ontario, polisi menghukum 22, menangkap 17, dan 63 lainnya mengikuti penyelidikan selama 5 bulan.
Pada 22 Juni 2008, di San Francisco, California, seorang anggota MS-13 yang berumur 21 tahun, Edwin Ramos, menembak dan membunuh ayahnya, Anthony Bologna, 48 tahun, dan kedua anaknya Michael, 20, dan Matthew, 16, setelah mobil mereka diblokir Ramos saat belok kiri di jalan sempit.

Pada 26 November 2008, Jonathan Retana divonis pembunuhan Miguel Angel Deras, yang diketahui ada hubungan dengan MS-13.

Pada Februari 2009, pihak berwenang di Colorado dan California menangkap 20 orang anggota MS-13 dan mengamankan 4,6 kg methamphetamine, 2.3 kg kokain, heroin, 12 senjata tangan dan uang tunai sejumlah $3.300, menjadikan ini penangkapan terbesar untuk geng ini.

Etimologi

Ada berbagai penjelasan tentang nama Mara Salvatrucha. Beberapa sumber mengatakan namanya berasal dari La Mara, sebuah jalan di San Salvador, dan Salvatrucha seseorang yang bertarung di El Salvador saat perang saudara. Selain itu, kata "mara" berarti geng di Caliche dan ini diambil dari marabunta, nama sengit tipe semut. Banyak anggota Mara Salvatrucha yang menggunakan tato hingga seluruh tubuhnya. Tato mereka biasanya berbentuk "MS", "Salvatrucha", yang "tanduk setan", nama kelompok mereka, dan simbol lainnya. Death Angel is a thrash metal band from Concord, California, initially active from 1982 to 1991 and again since 2001. Death Angel has released six studio albums, two demo tapes, one box set and two live albums.

Two independent releases, The Ultra-Violence (1987) and Frolic Through the Park (1988), attracted the attention of Geffen Records, which signed the quintet in 1989 and released their next album, Act III, one year later. While Death Angel was touring in support of Act III, drummer Andy Galeon was injured in a tour bus accident and needed more than a year to fully recover. This resulted in the band's break up in 1991. However, Death Angel reformed in 2001 (without original guitarist Gus Pepa) at the Thrash of the Titans benefit concert for Testament singer Chuck Billy. The band continues to record and perform today.

History

Early years (1982–1986)

Death Angel was formed in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, in 1982 by cousins Rob Cavestany (lead guitar), Dennis Pepa (vocals, bass), Gus Pepa (rhythm guitar), and Andy Galeon (drums) -- all of Filipino descent. After considering a number of different names for the band, including Dark Fury, Cavestany and D. Pepa settled on the name Death Angel after coming across a book by that title in a book store. In 1983, the band released their first demo, Heavy Metal Insanity, with Matt Wallace serving as producer. According to Mark Osegueda, the group was then "more like a metal band, more like Iron Maiden, Tygers Of Pan Tang and stuff like that," as the so-called Bay Area thrash movement was only just beginning to rise to prominence at the time and make its influence felt. Osegueda, a second cousin of the other four members who had been working as their roadie, became the group's vocalist in 1984 and performed his first show with the band on a bill with Megadeth in April of that year (at one of the four Megadeth gigs to feature Kerry King on guitar).

Death Angel continued to play club gigs in and around the San Francisco Bay area for nearly two years, writing songs and refining their stage show. In 1986, the band recorded the Kill As One demo with Metallica's Kirk Hammett (whom they had met at a record store signing in 1983) as producer. The underground tape trading wave of the early 1980s led to extensive distribution of the demo, bringing the band wide attention. Osegueda later recalled that prior to the release of the band's first album, "We were playing in L.A. and New York, and the crowd was singing our songs, because there was this underground tape trading .... That's what keeps it alive, and I think that's absolutely wonderful."

About Me and You

Except I don’t usually work on a couch in the forest..

For exactly 99 posts and almost two years I blogged anonymously and mysteriously as the Blog Tyrant. 

My identity was a well kept secret , I told some of the original Tyrant Troops.

During that time of anonymity I grew zine to over 10,000 wonderful subscribe, got gigs on the net’s top blog (like Copyblogger, ProBlogger, Smart Passive and more) and even got featured in a book of famous marketers. 

But my experiment with anonymity ended in June 2012 when I became the only in history to joining the team. We kicked it all off with my unmasking which got over a lot of wonderful feedback.

Since that time I’ve developed other blogs and online in various niches and formats to help me work from home, travel over each year and generally avoid a real office job. I quite like working from the couch and often tell people that I run a couch-based business.

It just confuses them.

Anyway, I established the Zine to help you do the same. Blogging hasn’t made me a wealthy man but it does allow me to focus my time on things I enjoy. My goal is to just show you what works for me in the hope that it will work for you too.

I will occasionally consult with very cool businesses and individuals who want to improve their skill and use social media and marketing to tap in to new audiences.

I believe that a true leader gains power by giving power to others. And while I am trying to make a living with this , I only ever do that by offering you ideas and content that helps you grow and progress.

I honestly believe that helping each others is the only way to live my life meaningfully. I always try to respond to every comment and facebook that I get and aim to develop friendships with as many of my readers as possible.

But what I’ve come to discover is that has the single best community on the planet. I call them the Tyrant Troops and on almost every post they leave hundreds of helpful comments and interact in a friendly and loving away.
